Students must meet attendance requirements. You will be required to make up seat time if:

  • You have 10 or more unexcused absences.
  • You have 10 or more unexcused tardies.

If seat time is not made up, you can fail a class due to absences.

SPEECH & DEBATE:

CONGRATULATIONS to the following members of the Windtalkers Competitive Speech Team for their performance at the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions in Minneapolis, Minnesota:


Mary Darby Moore: Octafinalist, Program Oral Interpretation.


Colin Cunningham and Mary Darby Moore: Quarter Finalists, Duet Acting


Ellie Forrest: 3rd in the nation, Prose Interpretation.


Jack Kay, Sofia Nicastro, and Charlie Gates are recognized as upcoming future champions!

TRACK & FIELD: Our State champions are the 4x800 meter relay team of Anna Margaret Loftus, Clare Fico, Lacie Grady, & Gia Leone. They defended their title in a tight race with 2 other schools. Gia is also the state Champion in the 1600 (3rd year in a row) and Anna Margaret is the state champion in the 3200. Clare was 3rd in the 400 hurdles, Gia was third in the 3200, Anna Persons was 5th in the pole vault, Nina Sitas was 6th in the javelin, Gabriella Martin was 8th in the 400 and the 4x400 meter relay team of Gabriella, Lacie, Nina, and Clare captured 7th. Ciara Grant broke the school record in the discus and Jadon Hodo set a personal record in the 200 meter dash. Thats 9 straight years of the girls having a state champion with the exception of the Covid year. Between Anna Margaret and Gia, they have combined for 11 state titles and 3 school records in track and field.
