From now until the end of the school year, several forms will need to be filled out for events during the second half of the year, along with an information update form. When receiving the forms, take note of the deadlines for information to be submitted.

The Wings to Soar monthly newsletter, sent out at the end of the month, has information on events that are coming up during the month and dates of items scheduled for the remainder of the year.

The Cortland Eagle Express will have information about after-school and summer activity sign-ups as the information is provided to us.

Reminder when dropping your child off after 8:20 or picking your child up before 3:10, you will need to sign your child in or out by either filling out the online form link below. Or by scanning the QR code or filling out the form on the table in the school's front lobby. If picking up your child early, please remember to inform the school office ahead of time, so we know they will be picked up during the school day.

Appointments During Testing Time Make sure to avoid making appointments during school time during IREAD3 (2nd & 3rd Gr) (March 7 & 8) and ILEARN (3rd - 5th Gr) (April 17 - May 12) testing dates.

• Make sure to get plenty of rest.

• Start each morning with a good breakfast.

• Arrive at school in plenty of time to start your day.

• Relax and do your very best each day.

One of the key things for you to know is that you will need to call in every time your child is out of school. We do worry about the kids when they are not in school. Your child's absence will be marked as unexcused if the office does not receive a call, note, or email. If your child is out sick and visited the doctor, is late, or absent because of an appointment, please send in, email, or fax the doctor's note to the office so that we have the letter on file stating when the child can return. Plus, we can mark the absence accordingly. If a doctor's slip is not turned in, these will be marked as Parental Excused absences. Absences caused by family trips, vacations, and special circumstances require the submission of a Pre-arranged Absence Form before the absence. If a pre-arranged absence form is not filled out before the absence, these will be marked as Parental Excused absences. Parents and guests are required to use the front access system at the front entry to the school. The intercom is located just to the left as you stand in front of the entry door. For safety and security reasons, the staff will not admit any unidentified persons. Parents or other caregivers dropping off/picking up children will be expected to enter and exit by the front entry doors only, and to state their full name clearly, as well as the name of any other person in their company, who you are here to see and the reason for your visit. Please do not admit anyone who has not identified themselves or who are not in your company.
