Happy New Year!

Welcome back from break! In the second half of the school year, BPM PTA will be working hard to provide fun and enriching events for our students and families. Please show your support for our school and community by attending an event with your family or volunteering. Your children will thank you and so will we!

For more information about getting involved, please read on or attend our PTA meeting next Tuesday, January 12.

4th Grade Day

Tiffany Lewis has graciously agreed to head the 4th Grade Day committee to help our BPM graduates celebrate at the end of the year. If you can help out with preparations and planning, please reply to this email or attend our January PTA meeting!

Book Fair!

If you've never helped at the school book fair, let me tell you this: it's FUN. Our kids are smart and get so excited about books! They get even more excited to see a family member helping in school. If you can spare a couple of hours, please do!

A volunteer sign-up sheet is hanging in the school office, or just reply to this email to help.

Book Fair shifts:

Monday, 2/29 - Friday, 3/4: 10 AM - 12:30, 12:30 - 3 PM

Monday 2/29 & Wednesday 3/2: 4 - 6 PM, 6 - 8 PM

Family Fitness Fair

As part of our $2000 Healthy Lifestyles grant from National PTA, BPM PTA is hosting a Family Fitness Fair on Saturday, April 30. Think of it like a field day for the whole family! This is sure to be a huge event and we will need lots of help with planning and coordination.

If you can help with planning by joining the Fitness Fair committee, please reply to this email! And if you know of any youth sports, exercise, health, or nutrition instructors who would be interested in performing demonstrations, please hook us up!

Connecting for Kids

Connecting for Kids serves families on Cleveland's west side with children under age 13 by providing programs and support for families as well as educational campaigns. They welcome any family with a concern about their child - whether the child has a formal diagnosis or has been described as shy, anxious, impulsive, or quick to anger. All of their programming is free and childcare is available, but you must register.
