We are looking for innovative social studies themed lessons to share with the TCSS community. Lessons will be used by TCSS on our website and digital newsletter. Submitting an idea indicates that your submission is not protected by copyright (published in a journal, newsletter, book, web site, etc).

Social Studies TEKS Streamline
The anxiously awaited changes associated with the streamlining of the social studies Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) is completed. So what has changed? First take note that the changes to the secondary social studies standards will be implemented in the coming 2019-2020 school year. Elementary changes will be implemented in 2020-2021.
