Summer Learning
6th and 7th grade students can continue learning over the summer. We will put together a list of a few online tools that students are familiar with. This will be good for all kids but is encouraged for any students that did not Pass in their subjects. Look for detailed information on this next week.
Also remember that reading in general is a good practice. To that end, the teachers have a summer reading request for students entering 6th, 7th and 8th grades. This comes from the Caudill Award Nominee books. All of the details around this are found in the Virtual Backpack and you can use the online book fair listed above to place a book order!
Report Cards
In the meantime, grades will be final in Schoology and Powerschool after May 28th.
I= The student has not turned in work or has turned in minimal work (not enough to provide a rating of Pass) during remote learning.
P= The student has provided sufficient evidence for passing during remote learning.
Your child's teacher should have already contacted you and your child if they were not keeping up or doing less than satisfactory work. This would result in an Incomplete for the quarter.
Students will receive a passing grade if they completed 60% of the learning activities in their subject areas. If not, then an Incomplete will be documented.
Please note that an Incomplete does not mean a student has failed. It simply is to document the learning engagement during Remote Learning this Spring. All students will be moving onto the next grade level next year.
