Stephanie Tolliver Osborne, M.A. directs the Gaston College Writing Center and teaches English composition and literature. Employed in the North Carolina Community College System full-time since 2006, Osborne holds a Master of Arts in English from The University of Richmond and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Virginia's College at Wise. Prior to beginning her career in the system, Osborne served as a director of a corporate learning center. An educational consultant, artist, writer, and poet, Osborne has been named the 2012 R.J. Reynolds Teaching Excellence Award winner, a distinction that honors the best community college educator in the state. Her favorite and most important job, however, is loving and caring for her beautiful daughter, Harper.
