December 5, 2022- December 9, 2022
Can you please add in the weekly parent newsletter to notify the school nurse if your child has been diagnosed with covid? Thanks !!
Dear CompSci Families,
Wow, this week flew by! The kids were on task, pretty much across the board. The worked hard in their classes, and were very productive. I'm glad, because next week is another weird week in terms of the schedule. We have half days Wednesday through Friday for conferences. If you haven't signed up and would like one, please reach out to your child's team leader ASAP. We will also have our Book Fair during conferences, for the first time since COVID, so that's exciting. It's great to have parents back in the building! With that being said, I have been feeling badly when parents show up without an appointment or notice, and I am unable to meet. Please reach out to me and my team if you need to meet with an administrator so we can set up a time. We feel terrible about making folks wait, or not being able to give our full attention to your concerns. Here is the best way to contact us:
Grade 6: Assistant Principal Grant email@example.com
Grade 7: Principal Wnuk firstname.lastname@example.org
Grade 8: Assistant Principal LaFleur email@example.com
Finally, we will be having a lockdown drill next week. I will email you all with details AFTER we run the drill.
Enjoy the weekend!
Friday December 16,2022
It's that time of year. Our book fair is here, just in time for the holidays. So grab a new book and help Comp Sci buy books at the same time! We circulate up to 1,500 books a month. Our collection is well loved but often worn out from the wear and tear of high circulation. The good news is our students are reading like superstars, but with a limited budget, it is hard to replace all of those well-loved books and provide new titles to keep kids excited about reading. Your purchases at our book fair will really help!
We will have bargain titles and small gift items that kids love, so even a few dollars will go a long way! Students can come in and shop during school hours, and we will be open during conferences. We would like to invite all of our students and their families to come to the book fair. Thank you!

December 5th-6th during school hours
December 7th -7:30 am-3pm (Hot cocoa bar after school for families)
