Parking for Moving Up Ceremony
We have been given permission by the Chatham Township Police Department to park on Dellwood Avenue. Please only park on one side of the street and do not block driveways. You can also park in the Colony Pool lot. There will be very limited parking in the LAF lots and grasses. There is no parking in the high school lots or on Pine Street.
Please adhere to the guidelines that I have listed above; we will not be able to stop the ceremony to allow parents to move their cars if the police department contacts us to move cars. Please consider carpooling or walking.
End of Year Wishes
The LAF staff and I worked together this year to present consistent character lessons to the students to ensure our messages were school-wide. I've come to see these lessons as seeds that need constant care, reminders, and time. Our kids are not perfect, they act impulsively and use words to protect themselves just as much as they use words to hurt others. As you know, kids are a work in progress. I know that as they become a little bit older each year, the seeds that were planted here will continue to cultivate conscientious and grateful citizens. It has been an absolute pleasure being a part of their childhood. Thank you for trusting me with your most precious gift.
I am grateful and appreciative of leading the LAF Community. Thank you for your support, feedback, and suggestions for helping us moving forward. Have an amazing summer!

As my youngest "moves up" this week to the middle school, I will always remember Lafayette as more than just a school where he learned math, science, reading and writing. I truly believe that the Lafayette community encourages kids to be kind, include others, be respectful and accept differences. Thank you Cheryl Russo and the LAF faculty for making this a priority for our children!
Our 2019-20 PTO will be led by Lauren Golio, President, and Andrea O'Brien, Vice President. I look forward to their continued commitment to making our school kinder, greener and the best learning environment possible.
Thank you and have a wonderful summer!
Bagel Breakfast
Our last 5th grade celebration will be on the last day of school. The PTO will be purchasing a plain bagel for each of the 5th grade students. The bagels are being purchased from Chatham Bagel on Main Street. The cafeteria will be supplying Philadelphia Cream Cheese and apple juice.
Your child is welcome to bring in their own breakfast treat if they do not want to eat the bagel. Please contact Sally Kelly if you have any questions and concerns (sally.kelly@chatham-nj.org).
