Picture Retakes & Ordering Information

Picture retakes will be held on December 17 for both in-person and remote students. If your student was absent on Picture Day or are new to Galatas since November 5, they will have their picture taken on that day. If you wish to have your student's picture retaken for another reason, please email your student's teacher by Monday, December 14 to indicate that you want the picture retaken.

Remote Learners: retakes and pictures for students who missed the November 6 picture day:

The photographers will provide an outdoor camera station for our remote learners at the car rider area from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Photos will be taken "car rider line" style. Parents will remain in the car and a staff member will assist your child with their photo.

Picture proofs were sent home last week. If you have not received your child's picture proofs sheet, please contact their teacher. To order pictures, please visit online.phototexasphotography.com and enter the online order code found at the top of the order form.

We cannot accept orders here at the school this year. All orders must be completed online, and the photos will be delivered directly to your home.

Reminder: No Deliveries of Forgotten Items at This Time

Due to the current campus and district safety protocols, we will not be making deliveries of items to students at this time.

As the weather gets cooler, please be sure to check the forecast before coming to school to determine whether your student might need a jacket or coat during the day. Also, be sure to label all coats, jackets, and sweatshirts so we can get them back to the student if they are lost.

-Eye glasses are the exception. If a student forgets their glasses, please label them with the child's name and section number. When arriving on campus with the glasses, please use the call button to the right of the front center doors, and someone will assist you.

-If a student forgets their lunch, they can purchase or charge a lunch from the cafeteria.

-If a student forgets their water bottle, each grade level has bottles of water for students. Please email the teacher, and they will get your child a bottle of water.

-For forgotten homework or other class work, please contact the teacher and make arrangements for the student to turn it in the next school day.

**Please label your student's personal water bottles! If a bottle is left somewhere in the school, and it has the student's name on it, it can easily be returned to the student.

Important Car Rider Information

We are asking for your help with the following procedures that will keep our car line moving, and keep everyone safe:

  • Please do not arrive earlier than 3:00 p.m. to line up for the car rider line. Our dismissal begins promptly at 3:10 p.m., and runs smoothly with all cars processed through the car line by approximately 3:25. Arriving closer to our dismissal time will help with the flow of traffic on Cochran's Crossing Drive.
  • Do not make U-turns on Cochran's Crossing Drive or in the adjacent neighborhoods. It is not safe for pedestrians or other drivers.
  • Do not obstruct the sight line for drivers exiting their neighborhoods. The police have placed cones on both sides of the entrance to Hayden's Run and Wyndspire to protect the sight line. Use caution and check traffic in all directions when driving in this area.
  • Be courteous and patient
  • Day care and students requiring extra time to load cars will be processed first in the car-line. These individuals and companies have received specific directions from the school.
  • If your child needs assistance buckling their seat belt, please pull forward and to the side after loading before assisting your child.
  • Use of cell phones is prohibited in a school zone and subject to a $200 fine.

Your assistance with this request is greatly appreciated. We want to keep everyone happy, healthy, and safe!
