WINTER NEWSLETTER
Welcome Back
Dear Les Bois Parents,
As the school year enters the Fall, we want to thank you for the opportunity to work with your students. The first weeks of school have been terrific and it has been great to see our tremendous faculty and staff working with the kids.
We appreciate your efforts to get your students to school on time, prepared to learn, and encouraging them to participate in the many activities and programs at our school. Supporting your children in their academic and extra-curricular activities has a great influence on their overall school experience.
Our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is very busy supporting our students and staff at Les Bois. Your help is always needed. Please look for opportunities to volunteer and assist our students through the PTO. They have been very generous in their overall support of our school.
We have had a great start to the school year. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or anyone at the school. I am committed to making sure all of our students have a good experience this year. I live in this community and want our schools to provide as many opportunities as possible for our students. This is a great school and I am proud to be part of staff here at Les Bois.
We look forward to seeing and meeting many of you at school events throughout the year. Please say hello and introduce yourself. Thank you for making Les Bois an excellent place for kids.

RAPTOR SIGN IN SYSTEM
Reminder of our New Parent Sign In Procedures (Raptor System)
To ensure the safety of our students, the Boise Unified School District has implemented new sign-in procedures and system, for anyone entering the school.
When visiting the school or signing out a student, you are now required to show ID. Your ID will be entered into our system, so that the next time you come, you will only need to check in.
In addition, we are asking all parents/guardians to call the school at least 30 minutes prior to picking-up your student, so that it gives Attendance plenty of time to get the student from the classroom. This will ensure the teachers have time to dismiss the student, for students to pick up items from their locker, and avoid having parents wait.
We appreciate your assistance with these important matters.
Thank you.

Changes to Messenger on Infinite Campus
Hello all,
Infinite Campus made a change to Messenger email settings in a recent update. With the security measures more recently being put in place by email providers and email relays to prevent spamming, they needed to find a way to ensure messages sent from Campus would reach their recipients without being flagged as spam by these vendors. The result is that messages are coming from our global email, campus@boiseschools.org, instead of the sender's email address. If the recipient clicks reply, the reply will go to the sender's email. But, if they click forward, it will go to our campus email.

THANK YOU ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF BOISE
Thank you Operation School Supplies (OSS)
Big Thank You to the Assistance League of Boise's Operation School Supplies (OSS), for their donation of school supplies. Operation School Supplies is a philanthropic program of the Assistance League of Boise (ALB). OSS has been providing school supplies to the children of Ada County since 1996. This year they were able to provide to 93 elementary, middle, junior high, charter and alternative schools with approximately $75,000 worth of school supplies. The 13,083 students selected by school counselors or teachers, will receive supplies which include crayons, erasers, pencils, pens, glue sticks, rulers, notebook paper, spiral notebooks, paints, felt markers, and colored pencils, and other items.
ALB is a member of National Assistance League, and they are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that puts caring and commitment into action through philanthropic programs in Ada County. Other ALB programs include Operation School Bell, Teen Retail, History in the Bown House, Cinderella's Closet, Project Hearing, Baby Bundles and Empowering Youth.
Funds for our programs come from community donations, private contributions, grants, and the operation of the ALB Thrift Shop at 5825 Glenwood Avenue. The public is invited to visit their Thrift Shop, and to support their programs by donating good quality used clothing and small household items.
