Beethoven's Early Life
Beethoven was born on December 17, 1770 in the Classical Era and had a bad childhood. His mother, Maria, was nice and caring but his father, Johann, was a drinker that demanded a lot. Beethoven was one of the 7 children in his family, but only three of them were able to survive to adulthood. Once his father recognized Beethoven's talent, he decided to use that for a source of income.
Beethoven's First Trip
In 1787, when Beethoven was 17, he decided to take his first trip to Vienna, which would soon become his home. There he lived his life there and even played the piano for Mozart. Mozart then made a prediction for Beethoven, saying, "You will make a big noise in the world."
Symphony No. 9 ~ Beethoven
Beethoven's Music
Beethoven created many different kinds of music. He created the nine symphonies. Symphony No. 3, 5, 6, and 9 are the best symphonies out of all of them. Beethoven created Symphony No. 9 by the time he was almost completely deaf in Vienna in 1824. Beethoven also created Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise for the women in his life.
Other Known Music
Along with many other symphonies that Beethoven created, he also created Symphony No. 6. It's name was Pastorale, and was composed in 1808. It was about the simpleness of the countryside. Although Beethoven loved Vienna, he valued his time outside of it too. in his diary, he wrote that his bad hearing did not trouble him in the woods and thickets.
Facts About Beethoven
Although Beethoven was great in his music skills, he had a temper in which became legend. Once he threw hot food at a waiter, and swept candles off of a piano during a bad performance. He involved his family into his temper, letting out most of his anger on them.
