A Weekly Look at Grant Elementary School & the Grant PTA

Week of May 26, 2020

A Message From Principal Grey

Movie on 5 26 20 at 12 42 PM #2

As this year wraps up, we'd like to thank everyone for supporting Grant with the Jog-a-Thon and the auction and in numerous ways, attending events and volunteering. We are reminded, in this time, how fortunate we are to be serving the Grant community. As we look forward to next year and the possibility of school budget cuts and a changing face of education, we know that we will get through it together. Our events may be held differently, but we are ready to get creative to keep all the special things about Grant going.

*For any family struggling, we are here to support you. Please reach out to Principal Grey for details at or Shantina Willits at

We hope you have a safe summer and that you have joyful moments in spite of it all.

Go Shamrocks,

Your Grant PTA

Grant Volunteer of the Year: Anna Barrera

You've seen her out in front of Grant with morning treats to entice you to come to fundraisers, you've seen her catering multiple Grant events, baking cookies for movie night, throwing a school-wide dance, serving on the PTA and more. We are so proud to congratulate Anna Barrera, as she comes to the end of her time at Grant, on a job well done. Thank you for volunteering and making this school a better place. You are magic and truly Grant's Volunteer of the Year!

Keep your PCS iPads this Summer!

This district is allowing our students keep their school iPad at home this summer. The technology department is working to make many of the academic apps available for student use in the summer months. Using the iPads and these apps are of course, optional. You may also put the school iPad away for safekeeping and bring it out again in August for the start of school.

Please do not bring your school iPads to school on May 22 to be dropped off.

Need Tech Help?

Students and families can receive technology support for PCS issued iPads and Chromebooks by sending an email to
