Director's Blurb

While all of our Christmas happenings are no doubt exciting, the business of this season can be quite overwhelming! There are so many Christmas celebrations that go on that it's very easy to get caught up in the food preparations, the wrapping, the decorating, the late hours and more. As an Early Childhood Educator, I find myself turning to the advice of Theodor Geisel this busy season. Known better as Dr. Seuss, his Christmas character, The Grinch, perhaps sums it up the best...

"It came without ribbons. It came without tags.

It came without packages, boxes, or bags.

And he puzzled and puzzled 'til his puzzler was sore.

Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.

'What if Christmas,' he thought, 'doesn't come from a store?'

What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?"

This Christmas, make time for more.

WDS Director
