First Blue & Gold Spirit Day

What a great opening week! To end a great week, we had our first Blue & Gold Spirit Day on Friday. Students who came to school dressed in their favorite Tamanend shirts or blue and gold, received a chance to win a Tamanend water bottle. Two water bottles were given out for each grade during each lunch. Congratulations to 7th graders Jonathan N. and Gwenyth D., 8th graders Ariana L. and Duncan, and 9th graders Phennah R. and Rishi M.! Thank you to our Student Council Officers, Samantha S., Julia S., James L., and Omar L. for this fun way to show school spirit and close our first week together!

9/11 Heroes Run

It's not too late to register for the 9/11 Heroes Run! The 5K and 1 mile race is set for September 27th this year at the Fonthill Museum with a great course through beautiful Doylestown Borough. Please join Central Bucks School District as they support this very worthy event. Registration is simple and easy, and students, families, and friends can register as a team and compete together. Each team can manage their runners and their team from their very own "page." Just visit their site for additional information.

Teaching 7th Graders to Advocate for Themselves

Tom Thelen, author of Victimproof, is one of America’s top youth motivational speakers. He has spoken at over 500 schools, colleges, and youth organizations. Rather than the typical “Don’t be a bully!” message, Tom shows students how to make a positive impact on their school culture. His message captivates students with stories that touch the heart and make them laugh. Tom ends the speech with a challenge for every student to BE THE CHANGE! Tom will speak to all CBSD 7th graders on Wednesday, September 30. Also, Lenape is hosting a special presentation for all CBSD parents that evening at 6:30 p.m. Tom’s visit was made possible with funding from the Innovative Learning Grant from CB Cares Educational Foundation.
