Shakira - Try Everything (Single) by Joako Fargo
Dear Crozet Families and Friends,
This week in the Tuesday folder you may find a reminder from Lifetouch studios requesting payment for Spring pictures. If you get this reminder, please either return your pictures or send in the payment inside the provided envelope. Thank you!
We survived our first SOL! I was so proud to see students applying all of the strategies they practiced all year, and taking breaks when they needed. Everyone took their time, and stayed relaxed! A huge round of applause goes out to these kiddos for doing what it takes to ROCK THE TEST!
Our next and final SOL will be Math, and it will be taken in two parts; next Tuesday and Wednesday. If your child will not be here please let me know so that we can schedule a make up date. More information about the Math SOL can be found below.
Please note that this will be the last week of Word Study homework! Word Study journaIs will be due this Friday! Also due this Friday is the Math SOL Review, pictured below. I hope you have a great rest of your week!

Save Our Ecosystems !
This week we will be connecting our animal projects to our County-wide Performance based task(PBT), which challenges students to research an ecosystem of their choice and create a public service announcement to raise awareness about a problem it is currently facing. The public service announcement can be in the form of a poster, brochure, slideshow, video, or students can submit their own suggestion to be approved.
Genius Hour Shares
We are currently working on proposals for our last 4 weeks of Genius Hour. Genius Hour has been a special time of the week, where I have seen students take tremendous risks, follow their dreams and pursue their interests. I have really enjoyed seeing them in action, and am always amazed to see what they can create. I will be creating an iMovie of all of our Genius Hour projects from start to finish, and will share it out as soon as it's complete. Ask your child what makes them a genius.
Field Day is fast approaching...
Another idea I had is to have at least 30 minutes of play on Field Day. Since the Global Day of Play, they've been begging for more time to build, play games, and have unstructured time to just play. Please send in any games, toys, building materials, etc, on Field Day! Thank you so much!
