Wellness Wednesdays
Wellness Wednesdays-
➡️ Just like taking care of your physical health, your mental health is equally important. Especially during this time of a global pandemic, stress, anxiety, loneliness, and many other common symptoms may arise. Let’s take care of our minds and remind ourselves, friends, family, and people we care about to do the same. Self-awareness, mindfulness, and meditation benefits include improvement in overall general health, boosting energy, relieving anxiety, stress, depression, and help with sleep.
While you may have other tools available to you, studies show meditation is helping many of us get through the pandemic and can help you too. Give your mind a workout and download some free apps on your phone.

A Message from Ms. Iraheta
10 Week 3rd Quarter Grades-
➡️ The 10-week grades have been posted on your student and parent portal since March 15. Be sure to check grades and talk to any teacher about how to improve your grades. The semester is almost over, work hard to earn at least a D- or higher in all your classes.
Registration Update-
➡️ During spring break, I automatically added students to summer school if they failed a 1st-semester class and/or are failing a second-semester class at the quarter. I also added any summer school that you indicated on your Google Registration form as well as fixed all 10th-grade schedules. I will email students if I have any questions. Please check your email at least once a day and reply as soon as possible.
APEX in Summer School-
➡️ Students who earned an “F” in more than ONE class for the first semester will be added to APEX. What is APEX? It is an online program in GUSD that offers digital courses to help students make up credits. Students work at their own pace and once the courses are completed, the student does not need to stay enrolled. This summer students in grades 10-12 may take APEX. I highly recommend that students in APEX work ahead of schedule to complete as many courses to catch up with as many missing credits for graduation.
Summer Bridge B-
➡️ This summer course is for students who earn A or B in both semesters of Integrated II and with teacher recommendation. If you requested the class, I will reach out to your math teacher to see if they recommend you.
9th graders, Need community service hours?
➡️ Freshmen, now more than ever it is important to check your GUSD student emails and my Google Classroom (GC) "Class of 2024" so you are up-to-date as I share important information including community service opportunities, and more via your student emails and in GC. Please be sure to check them at least once a day.
