Kapco Kids2Kids Toy Drive
Webster's Student Council is collecting both toys and cash donations for the Kapco Toy Drive. All donations are due to our school by Friday, December 15th. If your child donates a toy they will receive 2 tickets, and for every dollar your child donates they will receive 1 ticket. After the drive there will be a raffle for a prize. Students can bring their donation to the stage in the Commons first thing every morning.
In addition, our Jazz Choir and Jazz band will be performing at the Kapco event on Saturday, December 16th from 11:00am-12:00pm.
By encouraging children to select and purchase a toy for a child in need, Kids2Kids is about sharing and teaching the joy of giving. The best way is by organizing a toy collection campaign and we hope all of our students participate.

MSO Concert
On December 7th, the 7th grade students had the opportunity to see the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at the CPAC. The PTO and the Cedarburg/Grafton Rotary Club graciously covered the cost for the 7th grade students to attend. To pay the generosity forward, our 7th grade donated money and gifts to the Kapco Kids2Kids Toy Drive to support a great cause. The PTO also hosted a reception for the students prior to the concert. It was a great experinece for our students and staff and we had an excellent time.

School Closings
For your convenience we will post the school closing announcement on the District website, www.cedarburg.k12.wi.us. In addition, there will be an automated message sent from the district to all district families. The Cedarburg School District communicates with families in a variety of methods. Communication during emergency situations will be sent using the School Messenger/Skylert application. Families are encouraged to keep their Skylert communication methods and contact information current by logging into Skyward Family Access and configuring preferences for phone, email and text message communication. Instructions to do so may be found HERE.

Technology and it's Impact
Our staff routinely engages in quick reads, videos, or other research that helps us understand and support our students better. Below is a video featuring Simon Sinek, author and consultant, who speaks to the struggle our students face with the changing scope of our digital culture. As a school we are evaluating our cell phone policy and will determine if we need to make any changes in this current school year and beyond. I encourage our parents to be diligent monitoring their child's social media use if they are using a platform.
