Parents and/or Guardians, as you begin the 7th grade scheduling process with your students, you may find it helpful to have access to the 7th Grade Course Planner. The following link will direct you to the Course Planner, which is located on the SJHS website, under the Counseling tab: 7th Grade Course Planner. The SJHS counselors look forward to meeting with your students on March 4th and 5th!

PBIS
Giving kids language to use when dealing with tough situations can be extremely helpful as they approach the age where peer pressure becomes more prevalent. Children often know they shouldn’t fall into a trap of “following the crowd” but lack the skills to get out of the situation while still saving face. Here is one such article from the Love and Logic series.
Earth Day 2019 - Gear Up to Bike!
Earth Day this year will be all about walking and biking, including the opportunity to bike to school! Does your student need a bicycle? Consider buying used—it’s not only cost effective, it's green! Shops that offer pre-owned bikes include Montgomery Cyclery (Loveland), Trek Bicycles, and Play It Again Sports (Tri-County and Fields Ertel locations). Online you can find bikes on Craigslist, nextdoor.com, and Facebook. Finally, check with friends and neighbors who have older children, and visit garage sales.
Stay tuned—Earth Day details to come soon!
