Sprague School
Family Traditions Fair
Eighteen countries were represented at Sprague School’s annual Family Traditions Fair last week. In District 103 there are 45 native languages spoken in the homes of our students who live in Lincolnshire, Prairie View, as well as portions of Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, Mettawa, Lake Forest, and Riverwoods. The top most frequently spoken languages include Mandarin, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Marathi, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, and Telegu. For pictures of the event, please visit the school's Google Doc Folder.
Family Photo Request

Sick Day Guidelines: Make the Right Choice!
To help prevent the spread of illness, we would like to give you some sick child guidelines to help with your decision on whether or not to send your child to school. We ask that you keep your child home if they:
Have a fever of 100.4 (oral) degrees or higher.
Have cramps and or vomiting.
Have a sore throat with fever.
Have a persistent cough (dry or productive).
Have diarrhea (three or more episodes in 24 hrs).
Have a rash or open and draining sores.
Have symptoms that prevent them from participating in school, such as:
Excessive tiredness or lack of appetite.
Headaches, body aches, earaches.
Severe sore throat (could be strep-throat even without fever. Other symptoms of strep throat in children are headache and stomach upset. Contact your pediatrician to assess or diagnosis strep throat).
Harvest Celebration
Half Day and Sprague Halloween parade/celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 31. In an effort to be inclusive for all of our students, we are excited to offer an alternate room for celebration for students who do not wish to participate in the Halloween themed activities. This Harvest Celebration will take place at the same time as the Halloween parade and parties. For families whose children are participating in the Halloween festivities they don't need to take any action
Please complete the following form for your child’s school if your child is attending the Harvest Celebration rather than a classroom Halloween party.
