Board Meeting Report
July 15, 2021
Operation Backpack Partners
Community Partners who support the District's Operation Backpack program were recognized for their support over the past school year. Eleven years ago, the Wentzville School District teamed up with Operation Food Search to bring Operation Backpack to the WSD. For some of our neediest students, the best meal they receive during the week is the lunch they get at school. Operation backpack provides a backpack full of nutritious, easy to prepare food every Friday to help feed these students over the weekend. What started at Duello with a dozen students in 2010 now feeds over 350 students district-wide every week.
The WSD would like to thank the following individuals and groups for their support of Operation Backpack and Operation Breakfast.
Morning Star Church (Operation Backpack & Operation Breakfast)
Chapel of the Lake (Operation Backpack)
Dardenne Presbyterian (Operation Backpack)
Wentzville United Methodist Church (Operation Backpack & Operation Breakfast)
The Way Church (Operation Backpack)
