The Director's Dialogue
October is getting exciting!
Fall is in full swing! Bring on the JOY!
- Many of you have already started visiting with your child's teacher at our first Parent Teacher Conferences if you haven't been able to secure a time frame please see the schedule posted with your child's teacher to get your time slot reserved today. It is our goal to visit every family during this time.
- Breakfast of Champions- is a traditional family breakfast with the Bearcat Football Team, cheerleaders and Bobby Bearcat. It is an event that was designed for your family so your children will get to fully participate with you present. We will not be able to bring children who are unaccompanied up to the breakfast, photos and the whole experience. We will do our best to help them get to see some athletes but I would encourage you to make arrangements with another family, a student employee or your lead teacher if you know that Wednesday morning won't work in your schedule.
- Walking together as a Leet Center Family in the Homecoming Parade- Your children will be making items to use in the parade this week during their time in the classroom. We will help to transport our parade props to the meeting site on Saturday morning but do encourage you to join us there to help your children display the signs, flags and creations they have made in the parade. We encourage your whole family to come! Strollers, wagons and siblings are SO WELCOME!
- Science in the Outdoors date changed to Oct. 28th- Family Night see the flyer below.

Stadium Cleanup & Fundraiser - Saturday, October 26th after the 2:00 Homecoming game
Please join us for this easy fundraiser helping with cleanup at home football games.
This usually takes about 20 minutes and we make roughly $150 per game to help with classroom expenses.
The more families helping, the faster it goes.
If you do not wish to attend the game, we ask that you show up at about 3:30 pm to help.
If we don't have family support, we risk losing this helpful opportunity.
We will have the gloves and trash bags located at the North Endzone during the last quarter of the game.
Mark your calendar for our other clean-up dates!

Phyllis and Richard Leet Center for Children and Families
At the Leet Center, family relationships and children are our passion! At the heart of our learning together, you will find educators who see children as capable learners. Children learn through investigation, exploration, and communication. Our pre-school environment is a natural home-like atmosphere that is filled with inquiry and joy each day.
The Leet Center is also home to our developing outdoor classroom and we believe that all the learning that happens indoors can also be present in the outdoor spaces. Open-ended materials and carefully cultivated spaces provide a place for collaboration, thinking, and representation of ideas. Our learning community includes educators and university students who are working together to listen and learn with children. Children, educators, and families each play an important role in honoring the intellectual and emotional integrity of children.
