SPARC Center by Tara Kalia
What is it?
The SPARC (Students Providing Access to Resources for the Community) Center is a student run food and clothing pantry that provides to those in need at Franklin Township and surrounding communities. Every school in Franklin Township holds multiple food drives throughout the school year to collect food for the pantry as well as other donations from the community. SPARC members sort, stock, shelve, and operate the pantry to work on independent living skills and vocational work skills.
How do I become a member?
The center is open to its applicants every other Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM. To become a member, an application must be filled out and an ID must be shown at the entrance of the center. The number of items sent home will be determined by the number of people in your immediate family and if you feel you have been given the wrong number of items, you must contest it before you leave the center, no one will be readmitted. Smoking and profanities will not be tolerated on the property and there are no public restrooms located in the center.
How can I help?
You can help by donating nonperishable food, infant food, paper products, clothes, shoes, toys, or books during food drives at your school. Blue SPARC donations bins are located in each school. Donations can also be dropped off at SPARC during hours of operations and by appointment.

Please evaluate your student for illness before sending them to school. The following is part of the health services information listed in your student’s agenda book. Please follow these guidelines regarding illness. Thank you. Kerra Waters, RN
