Greetings!
3rd Grade
In AIG math we will be finishing up our multiplication unit. Students have really been doing a great job in their personalized learning centers. I like this approach because it allows students to move at their own pace. All students have mastered multiplying several digits by a one digit number! This will be our last week of these learning centers before we move on to some problem solving using these multiplication skills.
The first rubric went home with students evaluating how they did on creating an acrostic poem about hunter-gatherers. Some have been returned to me with parent signatures, but not all. Make sure to ask your child about this form if you haven't seen it yet.

We are also working on the higher order thinking skills of viewing a situation from multiple perspectives and evaluating information. We will continue to think about the theme of technology in the next few weeks as we read poetry that deals with this topic.
