Classroom Happenings
I can hardly believe that Third Quarter is already almost over. The school year always seems to zoom by after Spring Break is over.
This week we will continue our studies on White Fang and A Wrinkle in Time. Students who are reading White Fang have were first put off by its difficult vocabulary, but are now realizing how Jack London's colorful use of words vividly depicts the ominous wild of the North. Students who are reading A Wrinkle in Time are intrigued by the mystery surrounding extraordinary adventures that lie ahead.
This week we will participate in an Hour of Code. This will be a one hour crash course in computer science/computer programing that all students will be participating in. It really is engaging and fun for students.
In writing we will be finishing our Quarter 3 Writing Assessment. These will be completed today and for the remainder of the week we will be honing in on our debate skills.
in science we are studying the circulatory system. This week we will be making a model heart, hopefully these will turn out better than our model lungs we made last week.
So You Think you Can Dance!!
Get your groove out, dust it off, put it on and get ready to boogie. We are going to have the dance assembly on Thurs March 6th 2:10-3:00. It is open to families to come and watch if they are able. I will send home a flyer next week. Each grade level will dance to 2 songs. Costumes are highly recommended, but are optional.

Library News
The Spring Scholastic Book Fair Fiesta is coming soon after Spring Break! Monday March 24--Friday March 28, the Book Fair will be open all week during the school day.
Tuesday March 25th from 4:30-6:30 is the special Family and Friends Night at the Book Fair with door prizes, Flower Making, and refreshments. Come one and all and help support the library!
The Students go to the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled library classes and during after lunch recess. Teachers will also pick out books that they wish for in their classroom. Parents and students have a chance to buy a book and donate it to the classroom. A personal placard in the book denotes the donation.
There will be books, art kits, notebooks, posters and more—something for everyone! The students help me run the Book Fair. There will be lots of books and we will have lots of fun!!!!!!!
