A form of government in which a supreme power or sovereignty is held by a single person,(a monarch) such as a king or queen.

Advantages Of Monarchies
- There is only one person to decide, so decisions are made quicker and there are less arguments
- The masses have great respect to their king or queen that an elected president as he/ she will rule for a term only.
DISADVANTAGES OF MONARCHY
- A single person will the country as long as they live, therefore masses do not have the power to remove them.
- If the person ruling does not take responsibility for their country, it may lead to a corruption of the country.
