Principal's Message
Hello Indian Run Families,
What a great week! We had such an amazing day yesterday learning about Veterans Day and honoring those who are serving and have served our country. We want to once again thank all of our Veterans (past and present) for their service and sacrifice.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Please see below for our IRE updates.
Thanks,
Amber and Marty

Multicultural Day Celebration - November 23
Our Multicultural Celebration this year will be on November 23rd. On this day, we will learn about and celebrate the different cultures represented at Indian Run Elementary. In years past, we have celebrated by doing fashion shows, performances, and tasting food from around the world! We are taking our celebration virtual this year. We are also focused on how we can celebrate this year round.
We are asking that everyone at Indian Run and their families create videos to showcase their culture. This can look like sharing about your heritage, celebrations in your family, holidays, traditions, dress, food, language, and many more. There is no right or wrong way to do this! Just share about yourself.
We will be recording these videos on Padlet. Just click on a place in the world and start recording your video! The day we have our celebration, students will be able to watch other students from IRE share about their culture! How cool is that?
The instructions on how you and your family can participate can be found here:
1. Step by step direction sheet
3. The WIRE 11/8 - Explanation of what we are doing @ IRE
4. Example Videos: When you are in our Padlet take a look at Sri Lanka and Japan for some examples we already uploaded :)
Thank you for your consideration in adding a video about your culture. We can’t wait to learn more about the students and families of IRE! Please add your video by November 22nd.
