Free Food!!!

Friendship Community Bible Church is offering free food to our community. They are giving away 50 pounds of food items to families that would like to participate. This is in addition to the Brighter Bites program. Canned good and non perishable items will be included.

Prior registration is not required, and the food distributions are held monthly on the third Saturday of every month.

May 11 is National Nurse's Day. Nurse Angela has gone above and beyond these past 2 years with all of the COVID protocols and keeping our staff and students healthy. We couldn't have done it without her. Show Nurse Angela some appreciation too!

STAAR Testing

STAAR testing will be completed over 2 weeks this year due to all students testing online. Due to testing security, visitors will not be allowed on campus from May 10-May 18. See important dates above for information on what days your child may be testing if they are in grade 3-5.

Bulldogs Boys and Girls Basketball Camp

1st-5th grader students may participate in basketball camp put on by Austin High School. See the attached flyer for more information.

As part of our Leader in Me grant, parents, students and staff are required to take a survey to let us know how we are doing with the Leader in Me process. Field Day

We will be having our field day on May 20. Parents are encouraged to sign up to volunteer to help with the activities, however, you will have to make sure that you have completed your background check. (See below). This takes about 2 weeks to process so don't delay if you would like to help.


Pre-K-2nd grade will participate from 8:30-11:30 and 3rd -5th grade will participate from 12:00-3:00.


We are also in need of donations of water for the students. You can donate a case of water by dropping it off in the front car rider line in the mornings or after school. It is much appreciated.

Volunteer Background Check

Please note that all parents must have a background check conducted and approved before attending field trips, volunteering at the school, etc. We encourage every parent to have their background check completed at the beginning of the year so that they are ready to attend event or volunteer as they arise. The link to the FBISD website is provided below. Each parent must fill out a separate background check.

Attached is the 2022-2023 School Calendar for your reference. Please plan vacations around the student's days off to ensure they are present for instruction.

Cell Phone Policy

For safety purposes, the district permits students to possess personal mobile telephones; however, these devices must remain turned off during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes. If a student uses a telecommunications device without authorization during the school day, the device will be confiscated. Per the Fort Bend ISD Parent/Student Handbook, the parent may pick up the confiscated telecommunications device from the principal’s office for a fee of $15.

As per all digital devices, the district is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen telecommunications devices.

Brighter Bites

We will continue with the Brighter Bites the second semester. Here are the dates for the new year.

Brighter Bites is an organization that provides fresh fruits and vegetable for FREE to our community. We will begin this program starting September 16. Each family will get a 20-25 pound box of fresh produce. You must sign up for this program through the attached registration form. All families are welcome to join but you must be registered to participate. We will need lots of volunteers to help us with boxing the produce from 8:00-10:00 on the day of delivery. We will also need help with the distribution from 3:30-4:30. If you are able to help us out we would really appreciate it.
