Weekly Happenings

Week of 02/02/2020

Message from the Administrator:

Greetings MCS Families,

It’s a new month and I think everyone is really looking forward to getting back into the groove by having a full week of school. Everyone should have received grades last week, which were sent home with students. If you did not please contact the office and we would be happy to print you another copy.

As you have probably noticed with construction, our windows are now in. Plumbing will be completed today and the fire sprinklers will be going in this week. Siding is also supposed to begin this week.

One thing that was brought to my attention is that during drop off some people are not yielding to traffic coming down F street. As a reminder those driving on F street do have the right of way even if the crossing guard has stopped traffic. I really appreciate how everyone has adapted to our construction plan and know this current inconvenience will be worth it when the building is completed.

On Wednesday, Safe Routes to School will host the annual Polar Walk. This is where we encourage students to walk from a drop off spot or from home. Mrs. Miller and U of I students will be at the front of the building with hot chocolate and collecting numbers for participation. Please be aware of extra foot traffic to ensure all students safety during this fun event.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!!!

Sincerely,

Tony Bonuccelli

Administrator, Moscow Charter School
