We started strong with 1st grade adding illustrations to complete their farm animal fact research booklets. The school kicked off the month with Read Across America Week activities to get the students excited about reading and have some fun before Spring Break.
During the month I met with a group of 2nd grade books for an Arthur chapter book club. They read and learned about Marc Brown's characters. We ended by creating a character mobile.
Third grade was invited back to the library on March 22nd and 23rd to visit poetry stations as a fun educational break.
It has been a busy month for only having three weeks, but we followed the school motto and "Started Strong, Stayed Strong, and Finished Strong."

Ebsco Ebooks
Ebsco offers e-books on a variety of topics and age levels. Select the collection for K-8 students. This collection offers full text titles with unlimited access to support quality learning. That means several students could be reading the same title on the iPads or classroom computers. You can download the book to read off line or even print it for a hands on copy. Subjects range from History, to Language and Literature, to Science & Technology. Looking for current educational resources this is the place to go.
