PLC - Collaborative Norms
Presume Positive Intent
Assuming that others' intentions are positive promotes and facilitates meaningful dialogue and discussion, and prevents unintentional put-downs. Using positive intentions in speech is one manifestation of this norm.
Put Ideas on the Table
Ideas are the heart of meaningful dialogue and discussion. Label the intention of your comments. For example: "Here is one idea..." or "One thought I have is ..." or "Here is a possible approach..."" or "Another consideration might be ..."
There will be table tents for each team to have visible at meetings to support the practice of these norms to support collaboration.

GoMath Digital=Daily MAP prep
Are you assigning digital GoMath for your students? If you want support with how/what to assign, please reach out to me. This week, 4th grade teachers sent home the GoMath parent letter. This letter allows student access to GoMath at home for practice.
Difference Makers-you are all difference makers for our students. Thanks for your continued Growth Mindset during our Professional Development sessions. I appreciate your work ethic and love supporting you!
Celebrate!
Other grade levels are still en route and working with students on standards! Can't wait to see the results of all your hard work!
Dawn's Dish
Students Recognizing Kindness
1. Students can ask to fill out the kindness slips for others and names are read at the end of the day on the intercom.
2. Students can ask you to write a positive office referral for another student that has done something amazing. These are read on the intercom and students come up for a picture.
3. Students can complete difference maker awards for other students. These are recognized with a certificate at the PBIS awards assemblies each month.
Please talk with your class about the ways they can recognize kindness in others. Let's see how many of each of these we can get before we leave for break!
Birthday Treats
Please address these two areas of concern in your classroom. Birthday treats, or any treats, should be eaten prior to our dismissal time. Please do not send students after 2pm to pass out treats and please do not allow students to leave your room eating a treat.
We want to celebrate students and recognize their birthday, but we also have to be aware of the best time to do so and how it impacts others in the building.
Thank you for taking care of this in your room right away.
