Happy Indigenous People's Day on October 11th, a day that celebrates and honors Native American Peoples and commemorates their histories and their cultures. This weeks also marks the end of Hispanic Heritage Month.
We had a wonderful NED assembly this past week on growth mindset. As part of the assembly we are continuing our yo-yo sales to help pay it forward for the next school to have an assembly. Our PTA is once again selling Cloverdale gear and they will soon open our Student Store.
Ballet Folklorico is underway for grades 3-5 and we currently have a wait-list. Our California Cade Corps program will soon be recruiting 4th and 5th grade students that want to join our after school program.
Please continue to follow all safety recommendations concerning Covid. If you are sick, experiencing any covid symptoms, or have been exposed to someone at home that has tested positive, it is very important that you remain home until you are feeling better. If you experience any covid-like symptoms please stay home and let us know. You will be asked to remain home and test on or after the 5th day, or you may choose to isolate for ten days and you no longer experience symptoms. If you have any questions, please contact our school office for assistance.
Let's make this our best year and as always, let's strive to be LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
