Falconette February Update
Thanks for all your support this season!
Varsity placed eighth out of fourteen teams at our sectional. That put us one placement away from advancing to state. Although the team was disappointed by the outcome, this was the closest we have ever been to making it to state. Coach Churchill found that the scoring was not consistent from regionals, to sectionals, to DVC, as many teams that advanced to state were teams that we beat just weeks before. Coach Churchill will continue to get involved in committees to help improve the consistency of scoring in IHSA Dance. The placement at sectionals was not a result of a disappointing performance. So, we should be very proud of our girls for a strong sectional day. Thanks for all your support.
A big thank you to all the WN Coaches that came in to inspire our varsity team this year.
Each coach took time out of their busy schedule to come speak to the varsity falconettes about confidence, performing under pressure, and what it means to be a good teammate. These coaches were specifically requested by the team because of their positive interactions with the girls. Thanks for inspiring us to reach past our limits. We appreciate your time and the wisdom you shared with us!
Off Season Training
Center Stage Dance Studio is offering us a class for $35 a month to help the dancers train during the off-season. The class will begin in March and end in May. It will be at the studio on Tuesday nights from 8:15-9:45pm. This is a great opportunity for the girls. Please have your dancer post on Facebook if she is interested in participating.
