Recess Information from our Resource Aides: Recess flags have been placed in the 5th grade hallway (at the bottom of bulletin boards) that can be seen from the 3rd grade hallway and 4th grade hallway. They are also on each end of the 5th grade hallway on each door. Green means full recess outside, yellow means half of recess is inside and half is outside and red means all of recess is inside. These will be changed according to weather changes and temperature changes as it starts to get colder. We will start using these quite a bit during the winter. The guidelines for weather were attached to the email sent out by Mrs. Lucas.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters -- Diane is in search of a 5th Grade Little Brother--see her email
- Important Information from Technology: We recently received work orders about issues with encrypted files. The concern began when staff members turned on the computer and logged into their profile, then received several notifications that files were encrypted. In order to decrypt these files it stated you would have to go to some website and pay money to get the files back. Staff realized that this was a scam immediately and tried to close all the notifications, but files were encrypted anyway. The act of trying to close out these notifications was probably why files were encrypted anyway. It is very important in the future that if any other staff encounter this issue that they contact the CIS Department immediately. If, after they log in, they receive notifications or pop-ups that their files have been encrypted, they should not try to do anything to fix it themselves. They should contact us immediately. If they do this, we may be able to save their files from encryption. If staff were to open a file in the district share drive it would have encrypted every single file in the share drive.

Coming Soon Google Site Training:
I am going to be working with Ken Bailey next week and later offer some times for staff to come in and work with updating your teacher website and changing it into a Google Site. We are moving to this to allow updated access to all of our parents. This is something that all need to do after we receive the training. This is one of the ways we are implementing to cut down on paper usage.

CLT Agenda for 11/9/15
- How are our groups and schedule working for Spartan Time these first weeks?
- What progress monitoring tools are you using for ELA each week? Math each week?
- Do you students know where to go for each week? Spartan Time and RTI
- Enrichment groups explain what they are doing for ELA and Math
- Bring any questions you have about Math RTI
- Clarifications about Math RTI
- Bring any progress monitoring tools you are using for ELA and Math RTI
- How will you make sure you can see if the groups are fluid and a student needs to move from a less intense intervention to a more intense intervention?
- Lastly, Do you have knowledge of what strands your SLO assessments address as in order of mastery? For example what you have taught so far when the next SLO is given -- what questions should you see mastery in at that time? This helps you see trends and who is not getting the concepts as the year goes through.
