I can't believe we are already in May, the final month of the year! The final month of the year brings many fun activities that we all look forward to. Last week, we enjoyed celebrating our Mighty Mustang Students of the Month, our secretaries on Secretary's Day, our Lunch Ladies, and our third-fifth graders had fun at the Springville Track Meet.
Please don't forget to register for next year's school year! If you have new neighbors, help our school by encouraging them to register. Our school is growing, and the sooner we know our enrollment numbers, the better teachers we will be able to hire if needed. Here is a link to register (https://www.nebo.edu/registration). If you know that your student will not return to Meadow Brook in the fall, please let the office know as soon as possible or let me know via email. This will help us as we balance classes for next year.
2023-2024 Class Placement Information
Class placement is a difficult task and one that I take very seriously. In order to create an optimal learning environment for all of our students, it is critical that we create balanced classes! As this year ends, teachers will meet together and divide the students into their classes for next year. The teachers do not assign teachers to these class lists but focus on balancing the classes (according to a range of student abilities, behaviors, gender, and the number of students) for the next grade level. Teacher input will be one of the most significant factors in placing students. After teachers submit these lists, I will assign teachers to classes.
If you have any information that you would like to share that would be helpful in placing them in a class, please complete this form BEFORE May 25th, and I will match your child with the teacher that can best meet their need(s). I prefer that this form does not contain a desired teacher’s name; if you feel an absolute necessity to put down a teacher’s name, please include 2 EQUAL choices of teachers that you think your child would be successful working with, and I will do my best to accommodate. Teachers on each grade level spend a great deal of time working together to best meet the needs of each student. Because of the strong teams of teachers at Meadow Brook and because of some excellent newly hired teachers, I am confident that your kids will be in good hands next year.

Cuando termine este año, los maestros se reunirán y dividirán a los estudiantes en sus clases para el próximo año. Los maestros no asignan maestros a estas listas de clases, sino que se enfocan en equilibrar las clases (de acuerdo con un rango de habilidades, comportamientos, género y número de estudiantes de los estudiantes) para el siguiente nivel de grado. La opinión del maestro será uno de los factores más significativos en la colocación de los estudiantes. Después de que los maestros envíen estas listas, asignaré maestros a las clases.
