Message from Mr. Elliott

Hello Families!

I’ve really enjoyed my first seven weeks at Hadfield. Our students and teachers are working hard and learning. I appreciate all the people that I talk to outside each morning and after school...it’s great getting to know you.

I know that this year is different and that it’s very hard not to have families in our building for activities and events, but I encourage you to connect with your teachers as much as possible. It is very important that the lines of communication remain open. Please check your emails regularly as that is our #1 way of reaching out to all. Also, make sure that your current phone number is listed in Infinite Campus, because we love getting a hold of families and working with you.

I hope that everyone has a terrific fall and continues to enjoy this nice weather. Remember, we have conferences coming up and some days off at the end of the month so check those emails!

Unity Day - Wednesday October 21st

We are asking all staff and students to wear orange on Wednesday October 21st to show your support for Unity Day. What are your true colors when it comes to bullying? If you care about students who are bullied and want bullying to end, make your color ORANGE on Unity Day. That’s the day everyone can link together — in schools, communities and around the world — and send one large ORANGE message of support to students who have been bullied.

Every student will receive an orange bracelet to wear on Unity Day so that everyone is together in standing up against bullying! Virtual Learners may stop at school to pick up their bracelets.

Wellness Walks

This year we will be doing more wellness walks than in previous years to allow our students to get some exercise and connect with our Hadfield neighborhood. In order for you child to attend the wellness walks their online registration needs to be complete. There is a section in the online registration that gives permission for all walking field trips. Please complete this soon as we will be doing our first wellness walk on October. 27th.

Early Release

On Wednesday October 28th all students will be dismissed at 1:40pm. If students ride the school bus the bus will pick them up at 1:40pm. Students that go to Giggly Hugs will also go to that program at 1:40pm. All other students will need to be picked up at 1:40pm.

Annual Online Registration

School District of Waukesha Annual Registration is accessible through the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus. This needs to be updated every year. The annual online registration is where you can update phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contact information, give permission for your child’s picture to be taken and to use on school media platforms. It is very important that we have current information on who to contact if your child becomes ill. You need to have at least 3 adults who are able to pick up your child.

Go to www.waukesha.k12.wi.us to access the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
