Welcome!
From the District Administrator's Office
We have been very fortunate so far this year with the mild winter weather. This has been particularly helpful ensuring our students and staff do not need to deal with hazardous roads on their way to and from school
I have lived in Wisconsin too long to think winter will forget to show up this year. I am sure Mother Nature will bring the cold and snow eventually.
As a reminder of our process to determine if school should be closed or delayed, the real decision-making process begins around 4 a.m. This process includes making telephone calls, rechecking the weather reports multiple times, and even going out and seeing what the roads look like. From this information, we try to make our final call between 5:00 - 5:30 A.M. This allows us enough time to notify our messaging system, as well as the TV and radio stations so the public will get the information in a timely matter, preferably by 6:00 A.M. When making the call to close or stay open, first and foremost is the safety of our children and staff. We never want to put anyone in harm’s way.
In addition to the busses, we also must consider whether it is safe for the staff and high school students who drive to school each day. However, this is not the only factor. We have an expectation and obligation to our community, families and employees to open and operate our schools in a consistent manner. We know we impact many lives when our schools close, start late, or dismiss early. When the school closes, parents must make last minute arrangements for their children.
When we do need to make these decisions, please know we do not take them lightly. We understand it is a call that influences people in many ways.

From the Elementary Principal's Office
Welcome to 2016! I hope you all had a refreshing vacation and were able to enjoy yourselves with family and friends over the holiday season.
I would like to give a reminder that second quarter/first semester will be coming to end in two short weeks. Beginning next week, elementary students will once again be assessed by classroom teachers and interventionists to determine their individual AR reading level. Students will also take the computerized universal assessment using STAR Math and STAR Reading. Please be on the lookout for updates as to where your child will be placed for WIN.
The annual cancer benefit is also upon us. I have always been impressed with the amount of involvement our elementary students put forth during the organized activities. I encourage you to once again bring in extra change to purchase links for classroom paper chains and to participate in the week’s dress up days. I look forward to seeing your creativity! I hope to see you at the benefit game on January 22nd!

As parents, in today’s world of technology, it can be frustrating trying to communicate face to face with our teenager(s). Even worse is the fear we may feel in what our teenagers are texting, snapchatting, posting and/or accessing through their Smartphones. Ultimately, we want to be able to trust our teenagers to make good choices, but peer pressures can make that very difficult.
Education is the most powerful tool in keeping track of what our teenagers are accessing through their Smartphones. Below are a four informative articles on specific apps that may give parents a little peace of mind, while your teenager is using their Smartphone.

From The Athletic Director's Office
The 9th Annual Cancer Relief Benefit is quickly approaching! Many of our athletes are working hard to make this another successful year of fundraising. Many of our community members have already donated to this cause, and we thank you for that! If you, or someone you know, have something that you'd like to offer as items on the silent auction or raffles, please contact on of the basketball players. Thanks again for your support!
