Inspirational Quote

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

- John 11:25-26 (6 AD - 100 AD) one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament, outlived the remaining apostles, the only one not to die a martyr's death. His brother was James, who was another of the Twelve Apostles.

PTO Meeting and Officers

  • The PTO is one of the most important support organizations for the school. The work of the organization allows us to have many things we would not be able to have without their financial support and volunteerism.
  • We are currently taking nominations for officer positions in the PTO for next year. We are in need of President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. If you are interested in any of these positions, please e-mail Kevin Brever:
  • Our PTO meeting is Thursday April 16th at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. It is at this meeting we thank those who have served and introduce the new officers.
  • Please show your interest in your school and the children we serve by serving in an important position in an important organization. The work you will do with be very fulfilling and enjoyable.

From the Classrooms

Pre-K Gray

In Pre-K red this week we have been learning about Easter. We've learned that Jesus died on the cross for us on Good Friday. He had his last supper on Holy Thursday and rose from the dead on Sunday, Easter! Easter and spring is a time for new life. We had an Easter Egg Hunt with our prayer partners, which was a lot of fun! We have also been reviewing things that we have learned this past year. And we are ready for Spring Break!

First grade has published a book!

The students wrote about what they loved about St. Paul and then illustrated their writing. A company named Studentreasures published and printed our book. We are very excited about them!

  • Reading: We learned about cause and effect and inflected endings -ed and -ing.
  • Religion: We have been discussing the Stations of the Cross and we are learning about Holy Week.

2nd Grade

The 2nd grade class spent time this last week finishing up the Geometry Chapter in Math and will begin a new chapter when we return from Spring Break. We will be working with counting money and telling time. They are all excited about telling time!!

We were also able to finish up our Habitat Unit in Science. We have discussed animals that live on land and in saltwater habitats. When we come back from the break we will begin our Unit on the Solar System.

We have also been discussing Holy Week and working in our First Communion workbooks. We will be finishing up the work book when we return.
