A Note from Mrs. Webb
Please join me in welcoming our newest staff member, Ms. Meghan Wille. Ms. Wille is a member of our kindergarten team! She is very excited to begin teaching her own class this week after observing each kindergarten teacher during the week of October 5-9 and having a virtual meet and greet with her students and their families on Monday, October 12, 2020. :)
The PWCS Board has a plan in place for phasing in our elementary students who indicated on the most recent survey that they would like to return to "in school" learning during the second quarter. We will be welcoming our kindergarten students. Their first day to return will be on November 10, 2020. We will be notifying families who will be returning on this date in advance. I encourage you to go to www.pwcs.edu to see the Return to Learn updated plan for students who opted to return to in school learning.
Please note that the week of November 2-6, 2020 is an ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING WEEK FOR ALL STUDENTS! Live Learning sessions will not take place during this week. Monday, November 2 is a Parent/Teacher Conference Day. Tuesday, November 3 is a Virtual Teacher Workday and it is also Election Day (PLEASE VOTE)! November 4th will be a Deep Cleaning Day after the election and November 5th and 6th will be designated for our staff to come in and set up their classrooms to prepare for the return of some of our most precious treasures-our students!
I encourage you to review the PTO information in our newsletter. Our PTO board is working very hard and we need YOU! There are many ways that you can help and this week there is a link for how you can support our PTO when shopping on line or perhaps in some of your favorite stores! I also encourage you to consider joining our PTO. There is also a link to join. Our next PTO meeting is a virtual meeting that will be held on December 2, 2020 at 7 PM. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend! Also, please be on the look out for a special online spirit wear sale that is coming your way from our PTO very soon!
Thank you for all that you are doing at home to support your children and our staff. We know that this isn't easy but we thank you for your support and patience. Please know Mrs. Houseworth and I would also love to know how we can support you. If you have a question, a concern, a need or if you would like to run an idea past us, we are here for you! One of us is always in the building while the other is working virtually. This way we make sure an administrator is always healthy and safe to be here in person for our students and staff.
Have a wonderful week!
Very Respectfully,
Carrie Webb
