Ad Council Committee Meeting
Please have Committee Reports turned in to Dani by Monday morning! If you do not have a report for the month, please send an email stating "no report."
ATTN: PUMC FAMILY: If you have suggestions that would help us lead the congregation and community through the Covid-19 pandemic, please feel free to share those ideas with Pastor Steve or any of our Board members before Monday.
Finance Note
Thank you, Prospect, for your faithful financial giving over the past two weekends! We have received several large contributions that have been a huge blessing. We are working hard to reduce our typical monthly expenses (having temporarily released our custodians to work at a critical healthcare facility in Peoria, turning off the boiler/chiller for the original building, etc.). Our typically weekly "need" (once monthly automated withdrawals are received) is roughly $6500. We know that our community is facing a tough economic reality and greatly appreciate your faithfulness to God's mission through Prospect.
Those of you who have been members at Prospect for many years will remember that we typically receive our "Parade of Palms" offering for missions this weekend. We will reschedule that special offering for a later weekend.
If you would like to sign up for automatic withdraw, a form is attached below.
TRUSTEE NOTE:
FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS
Thank you for the outpouring of donations that are helping to keep the food pantry supplied!
*If you know if anyone who could use assistance from our food pantry, please let them know that we are 'open.' Normal hours are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:00 AM, but we are also offering flexible hours to those who contact the church with needs.
The following are our current high needs items: popcorn, peanut butter, pasta/sauces, soups, breakfast bars, fruit & toiletries.
HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP
Life Line Screening event on Friday, May 22, 2020
On average, they identify more than 25,000 individuals each year with critical findings of which they were completely unaware. The good news is that the majority of strokes can be avoided through affordable preventive screening programs. Since half of all strokes and 75 percent of all abdominal aortic aneurysms occur with no symptoms, it's a tremendous service to both the congregation and community.
More details below.
You can contact the office for paperwork and survey information!
ONLINE WORSHIP WILL BE POSTED SUNDAY MORNING BY 8:00!
