Tiger Times
Week 19: January 13-17
Anyway...During the course of the day, I made a comment to a teacher about how emotionally difficult the day had been and how truly surprised I was by some of the reactions. Her next words were powerful for me. She said, "Ashley, this is your chance to know the impact that you have had on the world without having to die."
Whoa.
Contemplate that for a quick second.
I was so grateful for her words...BUT, it made me think...Why why WHY are we waiting until funerals to talk about someone's impact? Will you join me in being intentional about telling others---colleagues...students...family members (your own and those of your students)..even strangers on the street? Tell them what they have done for you. Tell them how they have impacted you. Tell them why the world is better with their presence.
I truly believe investing in people with our words is one of the most powerful things we can do.
When we invest in people, we invest in the future for our Tigers.

Let's Chat
My first priority at Randleman Elementary is to get to know the individuals who make up the Randleman Elementary education community: students, staff, families, and community members.
It is important to me that I hear from each of you about a variety of things concerning the
school and community in order to best honor the culture, traditions, and expectations that
make Randleman an outstanding place to work and learn. I would love the opportunity to sit down individually over the next couple of weeks to hear from you on what is most important. This is completely voluntary, but please consider signing up for a time to meet using the link below:https://meeting-with-ashley-barr.appointlet.com/s/meet-and-greet
