Family Ambassador Position
Gables ES is looking for caring adults who want to serve as Family Ambassadors. The Columbus City Schools Department of Communications & Engagement is currently seeking parents, grandparents, former teachers, and caring community members with a heart for service to become Family Ambassadors. Join us in celebrating the success of these wonderful students! Congratulations gators!
Ms. Wilkerson ---> Olivia Montgomery --->She follows instructions the 1st time and is a leader!
Mrs. Rude -------> Jayde Belcher --------> Each day Jayde takes care of classroom materials and her tablemates. In addition, she follows classroom and school expectations and instructions.
Mrs. Buchan -------> Amjed Salamah -------> Amjed is on time and prepared for school. He participates actively in classroom discussions and activities. Amjed contributes positively to our classroom community and is accepting of different perspectives. He takes care of himself and does his best at all times.
Mrs. Erwin --------> Izabella Sanders ----------> I can always count on Izabella to be responsible not only for herself, but for any of her classmates that might need help.
Ms. Smith --------> Sebastian Morales ----------> Sebastian is an awesome kid and we are lucky to have him in our room 3 family! He is always willing to help someone in need and can always be counted on to do the right thing. Congratulations!
Ms. Schoedinger ---------> Adam Gheith ---------> Adam shows responsibility in the way he takes care of his school supplies, is able to follow directions, and I know that I can count on him to be a leader in the classroom as a good role model for others.
Mrs. Palmer -------> Adam Tarom --------> Adam does iReady at home every day. He comes to school prepared everyday with his chrome book.
Ms. Mohan ---------> Luna Frye ---------> Luna is a diligent and responsible student. She follows instruction, keeps hands to self and completes work on time.
Mr. Dreier --------> Natalie Harris ---------> Natalie always follows instructions, she keeps hands to herself and when lining up she waits patiently and behaves like a responsible young lady.
Mrs. Buchanan -------> Hadley Price ---------> She is a wonderful student. She knows all the rules of the school and always follows them. She helps other students with the rules too. She is helpful to others.
Mrs. Belcastro -------> Zakariya Ouahbi ---------> He is always prepared for class and takes care of his materials..
Ms. Gates ------> Alexa Puentes Castaneda --------> Alexa is always responsible with her work and when she is a helper, she makes sure to do her job very well.
Ms. Rensel -------> Aisha Safi ----------> Follows directions, is a role model, is aware of others needs, waits her turn, raises her hand to speak, participates in class discussions, cleans up, is organized and can return homework in on time and all classwork.
Mr. Seagraves ---------> Coco Conners --------> Coco makes sure to be on time and ready for the day ahead of her. She is also a responsible Safety Patrol. She is always on time for duty
Ms. Graham --------> Dylan Guzman -----------> Dylan is a very responsible student. He always gets his class work and homework done on time. He walks in the hallways and always follows all of the school and classroom rules. He is a very responsible student.
Ms. Grace -------> Lamar Jernaz -------> Lamar always is ready and prepared for class. She never forgets her charged Chromebook and has turned in 100% of all homework. She also cleans up after herself and puts materials where they belong.
Ms. Kocher ----------> Asinat Cherroun -------------> Always brings in homework, turns in papers, and takes care of our classroom
Ms. Ortiz -------> Thomas Lewis --------> Thomas has shown responsibility by completing his gen ed homework daily and turning it in. He also has been successfully attending a whole group intervention lesson in a larger group setting daily. This shows his ability to follow instructions.

Virtual Family Engagement Sessions Recap
During Tuesday Virtual Family Engagement Session, They focused on what parents need to do now to update their information in the Parent Portal. They also shared more about the new direct communication tool which will send emails and text messages directly to parents when a bus route is delayed or uncovered.

the communication tool that will be used to notify parents about delayed buses uses the Parent Portal. If your information is not up to date, you will not get texts or emails.

Penguin Patch - Kids' Holiday Shop - Dec 5 - Dec 9
- Students will have a chance to select gifts for their loved ones, wrap it up and have it just in time for holidays.
- Every gift is inexpensive, with kid-friendly pricing from 25¢ to $12.
- Join the fun and excitement - sign up at your school to volunteer during the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop. Look for Flyer in your child's backpack or see the attached flyer.
UPCOMING VIRTUAL FAMILY ENGAGEMENT SESSION:
CCS hosts weekly Zoom sessions addressing the most pressing topics and answering the most common questions families have. Called Virtual Family Engagement Sessions, these sessions are hosted by the Department of Communications and Engagement and feature expert District staff and many of our community partners sharing information and insights on important topics.
