Service Project

We’re very excited about our new service project. Meals on Wheels provides thousands of meals each month to the elderly in need, and we are collecting breakfast items at our Fall Concert to provide as many breakfast bags as possible. We are looking for the following items in pre-packaged single servings:

  • Raisins
  • Instant oatmeal
  • Peanut butter or cheese crackers
  • Breakfast or cereal bars (nothing too hard or crunchy)
  • Goldfish & Cheez-Its
  • Small cups of peanut butter
  • Ensure Original
  • Glucerna Original

Thank you for donating to this incredible cause!

Patriotic Show

Friday, October 14th is our Patriotic Show football game vs Tomball HS. All Choir students from both TMHS and THS will participate in the Halftime performance that evening. There will be a bus provided to the stadium that evening for students, but students are expected to be picked up at the conclusion of the performance, or at the end of the game. This is a required performance for all students, and is an exciting tradition in Tomball ISD! Please make sure this date is on your calendar for the TMHS vs THS football game and Patriotic Performance!

The bus from TMHS to the stadium will leave at 6:00pm. Call time for ALL students is 6:15pm, at the TISD Stadium on Cypress Rosehill. Meet behind the scoreboard in the bus parking lot. Students park in visitor and walk to the entrance at the scoreboard. DO NOT ENTER THE STADIUM.

All eligible choir students will be participating in the rehearsal on Friday morning, as well as the game that night. Students who are ineligible will complete an alternate assignment in class on Friday. Eligible students will be on a field trip request Friday morning, which does not count against exemptions. Students must also have all required forms completed to travel with us to the rehearsal.

Students need to bring their TMHS Choir Thermos, and dress comfortably, but in dress code, for the rehearsal Friday morning. Students are encouraged to wear sunscreen, hats, and eat a good breakfast that morning. Students will be fed lunch.

Students will need to bring their TMHS Choir Thermos and wear their TMHS Choir polo, jeans with no holes, and closed toe shoes to the game.

Students participating in the halftime performance do not need a ticket to the game.

If you are interested in chaperoning for the game, please fill out the form below. Chaperones will be contacted later this week with more information. Chaperones will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. Spots are limited to 16. You do not need to purchase a ticket to the game if you are chaperoning. Chaperones will need to arrive at the stadium at the same call as the students, 6:15pm

Please also see the link below for more information about the game, including the clear bag policy, and where to park.

Region Audition Results

Congratulations to the following Varsity All-Region Choir Members! We are so proud of all of your hard work this past month on this incredibly difficult music. It has truly paid off, and we can't wait to continue this process with you, and to experience Region weekend! Once again, we have set a new school record with 17 advancing students, and 25 Region members! This is HUGE!!

Please make sure you have the Region weekend dates in your calendar, as there are rehearsals and the final concert for you to take part in. It is a rewarding week filled with lots of music and fun!

We also want to shout out and thank our AMAZING booster club, led by President Kim Caudle and Vice President Anne Miller, and all parent volunteers. Your countless hours of planning and preparation for today paid off in so many ways, and today could not have happened without you. Thank you for your support of the TMHS Choir and all of our students. You go above and beyond to make EVERYONE feel welcome and ensured the smoothest day we could have had.

Special shout out also to Mrs. Laykin Luker, our incredibly supportive Assistant Principal who stayed with us on campus all day to ensure the contest ran smoothly. Thank you for giving up your Saturday, and being there for our Choir students to showing your care and support for our program!

Lastly, we want to thank all of our student helpers listed below. Without you, today could quite literally not have happened. Everything ran so smoothly, and we received MANY compliments from other directors on how wonderful you all are. Thank you for being willing to help and be flexible, and being ready to spring into action with whatever a judge or director needed. You left a fantastic impression on everyone today, and we are so so thankful!

Booster Club Meeting

If you're interested in the nitty gritty of what our booster club does, join us at 7PM in the choir room on Tuesday night!

Montgomery Solo Contest

Montgomery solo contest is coming up, on October 25th. We have many students signed up to perform at this contest, so check with your student to make sure they have signed up and received a solo. The deadline is already past for registration.

We will take a school but to Montgomery High School after school on Tuesday, October 25th. There will be a bus provided back to TMHS, but students are welcome to be picked up from the event as well. If students wish to drive themselves, they will need to wait after school to follow the bus to Montgomery. Times are TBD for student performers.

Students will need to bring a change of clothes to school for them to perform in. Students should dress in "Sunday best" and look nice for the judges at this competition. Students may wear slacks, a button down shirt, and dress shoes, or a dress. Heels are not required.

Night at the Opera

We have a very exciting event coming up at the beginning of November for which tickets will become available Wednesday night. The Houston Grand Opera will be presenting "La Traviata" on Wednesday, November 2nd for students across the Houston area. We have 45 tickets available, and the link for purchase will be sent out Tuesday at 5pm through REMIND. These tickets are on a first come first serve basis for students only, and we are not able to purchase extra. This is a very exciting and educational experience for our students, as many people never get the chance to see an opera performed live. Tickets are $26.25 and will need to be purchased through schoolcashonline. We will take a school bus downtown that afternoon and allow students to get dinner before the show. Students can bring a change of clothes to school, as there will not be time to go home before the bus departs TMHS.
