Hello SLHS Families,
Happy 2nd Semester! I would like to recognize our students, families, faculty and staff for making the first semester the best they could in the current situation. We held grade level meetings last week to summarize the 1st semester and get us prepared for the second half of the school year. (Photo provided by ADK Enterprise)

Recognizing Our Seniors!
SLHS is recognizing and celebrating the Class of 2021! Thank you to Mr. Brian Goetz from Wicked Signs and Graphics, Mrs. Kathy McHugh and Mrs. Cecily Dramm for helping design vinyl posters for all our 78 Seniors. These posters are being showcased in the windows of the downton businesses during Winter Carnival (Feb 5-14). Our Seniors have done an amazing job maneuvering through this pandemic and we want them to know we are thinking of all of them. Below are a few examples of the posters.
COVID Procedures
As we move into the 2nd semester, we are revisiting our COVID procedures.
We need to keep close tabs on our own health and temperature, and continue to fill out the daily health screening form. Please click HERE to view the form. The form is also on the SLHS website and we have copies in the main office. Any student who hasn’t done the screening form will still have their temperature taken at door 1 before entering the building.
Masks must meet guidelines: Research has shown that certain things that used to be acceptable to use as masks are not as effective as they need to be. As a district, we are redoubling our efforts on masking and we are discouraging the wearing of overly thin, ill fitting or otherwise ill suited face coverings. Please keep in mind that we have options of masks available to our students in the main office and they can certainly use these to double-mask if they choose. Masks need to cover both the nose and mouth at all times.
Our 25 week grades will be available on the SchoolTool on Wednesday, March 3rd. Please follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and our website. We appreciate your cooperation and your diligence.
Take care,
Joshua Dann, Principal
