A Message from Mrs. Figueroa

We are in the home stretch, but learning is still happening here at P.S. 188Q. Our third, fourth and fifth grade students enjoyed Field Day this week. We also held our Art and Music Show outdoors on Monday evening. I enjoyed meeting some of you and seeing how proud you were of your children's art work and their musical performances as well. A special "thank you" to Mrs. Perez-Fung, Mrs. Robles and our parents who dedicated hours helping Mrs. Dykeman set up for this show! There was no way we could have pulled off such a great event without your help.


Incoming Kindergarten Families- There will be a virtual orientation on Monday, June 13th at 9:00 a.m. Mrs. Perez-Fung, Mrs. Nartowicz and I will be providing our incoming Kindergarten parents information about Kindergarten here at P.S. 188Q and a virtual tour of the Annex. We hope to see you there!


PreK Families- Starting Monday, June 13th, masks will be optional for all students and staff working with PreK students. As always, we respect any family's decision and students have the option to still wear their masks.


Fifth Grade Families- Graduation is on Friday. Mrs. Perez-Fung has sent out many emails regarding how this day will go. Please refer to her emails. We look forward to celebrating with you on Friday, June 17th at 9:00 a.m. Please have your child at school at 8:00 a.m.


Volunteers are needed for the Father's Day Sales in the Main and the Annex. We need help setting up the products, helping the children shop and bagging up items.
