Gratitude Calendar
Attached below please find our "November Gratitude Calendar." A copy will be in your mailbox tomorrow, as well as loaded on the Teams page under "Files."
In an effort to encourage one another and focus on those things we are thankful for, please see our November Gratitude Calendar. Join us in showing our gratitude towards one another this month. We have so much to be thankful for!
On the calendar 'directions,' please note that email means to email the person directly and post means to post in our “Conversations” in our TEAMS page. Don’t forget to ‘tag’ that person with the “@” symbol before their name. (See Gray or Mitchell for assistance, if needed.) When you use the "@" symbol with their name, they will receive an alert that a post was made about/to them.

Veterans' Day Assembly
We have our annual Veterans' Day Assembly this Friday morning at 9:00 am in the cafeteria. Please take a moment this week to educate your students on what a Veteran is, and why we celebrate Veterans' Day. A scholastic link below includes some lesson plan ideas and resources, if you are interested.

In addition, for our ELA teachers, below you will find an NEA link about Veterans' Day that leads students through a guided format to write a poem about a soldier.
Fire/Code Red Drills
Last week's fire drill went much better than our previous drill together. Thank you for continuing to prepare your students for these monthly drills. Our substitutes continue to be ill-prepared and ready for leading our students through these situations. As a result, we are working to create better systems when they arrive to assist. In addition, please ensure your substitute plans also include specific safety protocols and procedures specific to your classroom.
Blended Learning
Below you will find a weekly report from i-Ready for reading and math from last week. Check out the grade level time on task averages, paying particular attention to the targeted area of 30-49 minutes. The completion rates look consistently positive, especially in 3rd and 4th grade Math! WHOOO HOOOO
You will note other details in these reports, but please note the number of students with the 'warning' symbol in 3rd grade ELA and 5th grade Math (3rd and 4th grade math have a handful, as well).
Please review your class reports and note the students that are consistently receiving this warning and address that individually with your students. This warning indicates that these students did not pass multiple lessons in a row within the same domain. If the students continue to struggle, each domain in which they are struggling with will be shut off. View each student's report to see which lessons weren't passed, and find resources to remediate those skills.
SDMT/Resource Schedule
Our SDMT will be meeting tomorrow (Monday) morning at 8 am to review the last resource schedule (Plan C) that was shared last week. Please be sure your SDMT representatives have received your input, as we will be coming to a resolution regarding this issue at this meeting.
Transition to Middle School
Our Transition to Middle School night is Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 6 - 7 pm. This is generally one of our most highly attended parent events in the Fall, as parents have the opportunity to see and speak to representatives from not only our feeder middle schools, but other magnet and choice middle schools, as well. We would LOVE to have you join us, and help greet our parents/guardians/guests. Let us know if you can attend.
Also, please be sure to promote this event in any of your correspondence home.
Early Dismissal - Nov. 13th - EARLY this month
November Calendar
Your November calendar will be in your mailbox tomorrow morning. Please be sure to note that our monthly faculty meeting, our "Growth Check," is on a MONDAY this month. It is scheduled for Monday, November 25th. Make the necessary arrangements in your schedule to be present and accounted for at that event on that date.
