NEW DROP OFF TIMES AND FLOW OF TRAFFIC
Beginning Friday, September 10, we have modified our drop off times for the beginning of the day to help with traffic and congestion on Taft Rd. We will be opening the doors to Meadows at 7:15am (School still starts at 7:30am).
Students who are taking a bus, parent drop off, or walkers will be able to enter the building at this time. Students will go to their respective cafeteria and wait until 7:20am. At that time they will be released to their classrooms.
If you are a parent who drives their students to or from school, please make sure to pull all the way up to allow for the maximum number of cars along the sidewalk. In addition, if you are able to carpool, that might help to alleviate the large number of vehicles in the line.
In addition, please do not drop students off in the middle of the parking lot. This creates an unsafe situation for them and for other drivers who are trying to navigate a busy area. Please wait in the line and drop them off along the curb. They should always exit the vehicle on the right.
Parents of 6th graders who are dropping off students should be aware that buses will need to use the left lane and turn in front of the 6th grade house to access the loading area for students. Please do not block the driveway.
Thank you again for your patience as we focus on getting students to and from school safely.
Sincerely,
Principals Fenchel and Brickey
REMINDER! PLEASE SEND STUDENTS TO SCHOOL WITH DEVICES FULLY CHARGED!

NEW TO DISTRICT STUDENTS
New to District Students and Families
Over the past several weeks, the counselors have been holding “New to Novi” group meetings during recess/lunch. Between the 5th and 6th grades, we have over 100 new students! These students come to us from as close by as Livonia and Grosse Pointe, but also from as far away as Maryland, Colorado, India, Japan, and China. One thing we all have in common now: we are Novi Wildcats and we wear Green & White!
It has been enjoyable to meet these students, see them open up to their peers, and begin to build friendships. We have focused on not only getting to know more about Novi Meadows and the Novi community, but also on getting to know one another. A great big Wildcat welcome to all new to district families! We are so happy you are here.
FOOD SERVICES
Breakfast will be grab and go and eaten in the classroom. Students will make their lunch selections in the morning with their teacher in the classroom. At lunch time students will use their ID badge to receive their individually packaged meal and check out with the cashier. Remember to add funds to your student's account through PowerSchool.

NEF - OCTOBER NEWS
We are pleased to announce two separate October events. The purpose of both Oktoberfest and Fall Mini Portrait Sessions is to raise money to support our students by providing extra opportunities above and beyond the District's financial contribution.
Please join us for Oktoberfest on October 16 from 7-10pm in the outdoor heated pavilion located at Paradise Park. Tickets are limited and include food and 2 vouchers to use at any Paradise Park attraction. Please visit the NEF page here for the menu, additional information and how to purchase tickets. Tickets must be purchased no later than October 10.
Building off the success of last year's Front Porch Project, the NEF and Christine Long Photography invite you to participate in our Fall Mini Portrait Sessions at Tollgate Farms. Sessions are available on October 16 and October 23. Your package includes a 10-15 minute photo session, with three digital files to keep. Click the link here to schedule your session.
Thank you for supporting the NEF. We look forward to seeing you at Oktoberfest and the Fall Mini Portrait Sessions.
