SEIU Local 99 and UTLA Strike

As you may have heard, negotiations between LAUSD and SEIU Local 99 have come to a standstill. SEIU is planning a 3 day strike sometime between now and spring break. UTLA (teachers) are expected to support SEIU and not report to work for the 3 day strike. Our Superintendent has announced that schools will be closed during the work stoppage. All principals are being asked to relay the District's strike plan to the school community. I WILL BE HOSTING A TOWN HALL VIA ZOOM ON THURSDAY, 3/16 AT 5PM TO SHARE THE INFORMATION. Eagle Trot Fundraiser

Keep the donations coming in!!! The students LOVE the Eagle Trot and all of the prizes. The money raised during the Eagle Trot donations window funds all of the field trips, assemblies, and specialty programs here at the school. Without your generous donations these programs would not exist. Without a PTA or Booster Club, we really do all of this on our own and need your help. Please note: In the event of the impending SEIU strike, many/all of the Eagle Trot Events may need to be rescheduled until after spring break. They will NOT be cancelled.

Our teachers have recommended many students for the Acceleration Days at Hart St. School. If you haven't already done so, please enroll your child in this free two days of tutoring. The deadline to enroll is March 24th.
