Summer at Goodness Grows

We're deep into the heart of our busy season now, right in the middle of a summertime heatwave. While we are careful to take plenty of water and shade breaks, the heat can't stop us at GG! We have been spending time outside in the morning and inside after lunch to make sure our clients and staff all stay safe. Outside, there is plenty of weeding and tending to our plants as well as harvesting for the CSA program. We also have a butterfly garden project that we hope to make progress on soon. If you ever want to come out and volunteer to weed and garden, just let us know!

Our Final Summer Intern is Here!

Bradly, one of our longtime GG family members, has returned to his spot as a summer intern! We look forward each year to welcoming him back. (He is actually graduating today so....CONGRATULATIONS BRADLY!!!) This is a young man who loves hard work, so we are lucky to have him on our crew!

Adventures in Fishing

Big thanks go out to our friends Marilee and David, as well as to their friends. All these folks made it possible for us to have our first ever GG fishing trip! We had a blast hanging out at this beautiful pond, spending the day casting our lines into the water. We never knew we worked with so many skilled fisher-people! Now we are looking forward to a return trip in August and we can't wait.

CSA Goodies

So far, this CSA season has been much less stressful than last year. After spring/early summer 2019 bringing rain, rain, and more rain, 2020's weather has been the highlight of a very unusual year. Our crops are growing well and we're excited to harvest for our subscribers each week! Once again, we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to those subscribers for supporting GG!

Currently Still Scheduled for August

On August 29, 2020, prepare yourself for a fun day of great food, entertainment, local art, and retail vendors! And, of course, prepare yourself for GREAT and unique craft beer, cider, and hard seltzer! At BTI7, our line-up will include beverages from breweries from all over the world as well as from our amazing local brew houses!

Big Tap In Festival will again benefit Project MKC. Project MKC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in NE Ohio dedicated to the most vulnerable in our local community, the children.

BTI7 is being held at the Metroplex Expo Center, 1620 Motor Inn Drive in Girard, Ohio. All attendees must be 21 or older, and have identification with proof of age.
