LOCK DOWN PROCEDURE
In light of the Lock Down that occurred this week, we felt that we should remind parents/guardians that these procedures are primarily conducted to keep everyone safe inside the school during a dangerous or potentially dangerous situation. They may be conducted for a variety of reasons, including: an armed or potentially dangerous intruder, a vicious dog on the premises, a serious accident outside or in the school, etc. The purpose is to keep people safe inside until the situation is resolved.
Lock downs are for the safety and security of your children. The staff and students have practiced these procedures and are aware of what needs to take place. Lock downs occur at the discretion of the Principal and will only be implemented when and if the safety of our school is in question.
It can not be reiterated enough that we take the safety of the staff and students very seriously and will do whatever is necessary to make sure that no one is placed in a position of harm.
