A Note from Mrs. Lee
Dear Parents,
I can't believe that we will be seeing our new and returning students and families this Friday morning! I hope you are enjoying your last few days of summer break.
If you haven't already, don't forget to update on parent portal to access information. In order for your child to be assigned to a class for the 2019-2020 school year, you must log-in to Parent Portal and complete the required information. Once the online process is complete, the class information will be released to you at midnight, August 7th. If you have completed the online update, you will (if you haven't already) receive a welcome email from your child's teacher tomorrow.
We also want to let you know that construction is making its progress on a daily basis. You may see minor things undone on Friday morning and next week, but the crew is working 7 days a week until the job is completely done. The building will be safe and ready for children to come and learn on Monday. We appreciate your understanding and patience in working around our little “mess”.

Important Dates
Effective Wednesday, July 24th – Annual Registration for ALL students begins in Parent Portal
Parent Portal and volunteer application portal are open for the 2018-2019 school year.
- Parents of new and returning students must log-in to Parent Portal, http://www.pisd.edu/annualregistration, and complete annual forms online before receiving class assignments on August 5th.
- The volunteer application, https://www.pisd.edu/volunteer, must be completed every year in order for parents to participate in field trips, class parties, field day, 5th grade camp, and other volunteer activities throughout the year.
August 9th - Meet the Teacher
7:30-8:30 AM at Skaggs Elementary School
August 10th
Kindergarten Play Date - 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Russell Creek Park
August 12th
First Day of School!
School doors open at 7:30 am. (Gym door opens at 7:00 for early drop offs)
This is the only day that parents may walk children to their new classrooms, starting at 7:30. You will not need to sign in.
August 19 - Parent Information Night for New Families
6:00 - 7:00 pm
August 20 - Parent Information Night for K-5(Not on first week this year!)
6:15-6:45 K-2
7:00-7:30 3-4
6:15-7:30 5 (Parent Info & Camp Meeting)
